Every weekday morning we read the day's news on gold, silver and platinum and sum up what it's saying, in plain words. One paragraph on what happened and why coverage thinks it happened, a score for how positive or negative the coverage was, and every headline with a link to where it came from.
A computer writes the first draft from the morning's news. Then a person at Center Street Gold & Silver, a coin and bullion shop in Tigard, Oregon, reads it against the sources before it goes up. That person's name and the time they approved it are at the bottom of every Digest. Nothing is published without that step.
We sell metals, and we're not financial advisors. The Digest is a reading of the news, not advice about your money. The two short question pages on this site (Should I buy now or wait? and Gold or silver?) describe how people in different situations tend to think about metals. They don't tell you what to do. For that, talk to a licensed advisor who knows your whole picture.
Prices come from market quotes at the time of the morning scan, not from the articles. Every figure in the Digest links to its source. If a number can't be traced to a source, it doesn't go in.
